The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Campaign Manager-Horse Slaughter for its Equine Protection department. The main responsibility of this position is to lead the campaign to end the slaughter of American horses. Other duties include, but are not limited to: oversee, monitor, and adjust the strategy and work effort on the campaign; build public support for the campaign through the media, grassroots efforts, online campaigning; develop and manage the creation of campaign materials, LTEs, reports, fact sheets and online materials; work with HSUS State Directors and constituents to oppose proposals for a slaughterhouse to be opened within their state. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field, along with one to three years’ experience highly desired. Project management skills and strong written and verbal communication skills strongly preferred. The salary range for this position is in the $50’s.
