We are the global not-for-profit organisation dedicated to the conservation and restoration of wetlands. Wetlands are rich in nature and vital to human life. Despite efforts to reduce pollution and restore degraded wetlands, the loss of wetland habitats and biodiversity continues. We are working hard to prevent further loss of wetlands such as lakes, marshes and rivers. Our vision is a world where wetlands are treasured and nurtured for their beauty, the life they support and the resources they provide. Help us to reach that goal by becoming our campaign coordinator.

Campaign

Our goal in 2016 is to inspire and promote action for the conservation of wetlands along the five flyways. We celebrate that International Waterbird Census turns 50 and use the opportunity to create awareness for wetlands and give a push to activate key players in all sectors. In 2016, Wetlands International calls on all of our partners to step up efforts to identify and conserve critical wetlands for waterbirds. This is not a regular campaign, we want to co-create!
