Campaign Assistant-Chimps Deserve Better, Animal Research Issues

The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), the nation’s largest animal advocacy organization, is seeking a Chimps Deserve Better Campaign Assistant for its Animal Research Issues department.  The main responsibility of this position is to assist with the non-legislative efforts of the HSUS’ Chimps Deserve Better Campaign.  Other duties include, but are not limited to: collaborate with the Project Manager to determine and carry out non legislative campaign priorities; data collection and database management; assist with outreach to scientists, corporations, and others to increase external support for campaign goals; review and analyze documents; draft online content and communications for public outreach; assist with external and internal meetings.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field highly desired.  Experience with internet and database searching and strong written and verbal communication skills strongly preferred. Candidate must have experience with Microsoft Office programs.
