California & Western States Outreach Coordinator The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS), the leading science-based organization at the center of today’s most exciting and important policy debates, seeks an individual to work with a top-notch, multi-disciplinary team in our California office to plan and implement outreach components of California and Western States campaigns on vehicles, fuels, energy, and climate issues. The Outreach Coordinator will oversee execution of primary outreach campaign elements, cultivate relationships with key allies, mobilize science experts and activists, utilize web-based organizing tools for creative on-line and off-line action, and participate in cross-programmatic, organization-building outreach efforts. Responsibilities
At UCS, comparable training and/or experience can be substituted for degrees when appropriate. Compensation, Hours and Location: This is a full time position based in UCS’s Berkeley, CA office. For candidates who meet all position requirements, the salary is in the low $50s.
