ECGD, the Export Credits Guarantee Department, is the UK's official Export Credit Agency. This is an opportunity to join ECGD’s Business Principles Unit as a Business Principles Analyst. The successful candidate will be involved in assessing potential environmental, social, human rights and health and safety impacts of business applications for support. This can involve overseas travel to the sites of proposed projects. The Post-holder will need to have sufficient relevant experience to carry out assessments and possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. You will need a degree in environmental science or engineering and the IEMA Certificate in Environmental Management. Knowledge of international environmental standards and practices (e.g. World Bank environmental standards) and of technical/engineering concepts and terminology would be desirable. This position will be a 1 year fixed term contract with the possibility of extension/a permanent post.The closing date for completed applications is 12pm 30th June 2009.
