Business Manager for Small Woods Association

This is an exciting and unique opportunity to play a key role in a leading national charity based in Coalbrookdale.  The Small Woods Association supports and promotes the sustainable management and enjoyment of our woodlands.  Established for over 30 years, we run a range of programmes that support woodland management for people and wildlife, woodland training and career development, as well as social forestry activities that promote educational inclusion, health and wellbeing.

We are looking for an experienced individual who can take an imaginative and proactive approach to the role of Business Manager; managing the finances and administration of the Association, together with overseeing our site at The Green Wood Centre, Coalbrookdale.  The Association is looking to grow and this is a key post in that ambition.  If successful, the postholder would be offered further opportunities to develop their role.  The post also offers substantial autonomy for the right individual.

Based at our beautiful site in the World Heritage Site in Coalbrookdale, Shropshire, which amongst other benefits, boasts a café and active hub for local community and volunteers; the role has substantial quality of life benefits.  We also operate family friendly working hours, so the hours could also be taken over 4-5 days, to fit with parental or caring obligations.

Salary: £22,000 – £24,000 pro rata 3 days per week.
