FLO-CERT is now at the point to offer additional certification services in order to combine Fairtrade certification with other certification schemes.

Under this light FLO-CERT GmbH currently has a vacancy in its Technical Services department for an experienced, service driven, energetic new staff member with an interest in FAIRTRADE:

TITLE
Business Implementation Manager (m/f)

FUNCTION
The Business Implementation Manager will design and implement new certification services for FLO-CERT.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage the Business Implementation Team
• Manage the implementation of new certification services for FLO-CERT
• Manage the implementation of new Fairtrade Standards
• Manage the internal FLO-CERT advisory services

TASKS
• Development of business and project strategies for new certification services
• Conduction of feasibility studies for new certification services
• Project Management of the piloting and implementation of new certification services
• Project Management of the implementation of new or revised Fairtrade Standards before they go “live” in certification
• Liaison with the Certification Department on new certification services and Fairtrade Standards
• Manage the communication and internal consultation processes with the Standards Unit of FLO e.V.
• Manage the standard interpretation service of FLO-CERT
• Manage the environmental advisory service of FLO-CERT

REPORTING TO
Trade Certification Director

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary:
• University level education (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (Business, Agronomy, Law, Economics etc.).
• At least 3 years experience in consultation, implementation or certification of one of the following standards: organic, Globalgap, SA8000 or BSCI
• Fluency in English oral and written.
• Experience in managing a team.
• Motivation for Fairtrade.

Advantageous
• Experience with one of the following standards: FSC, MSC, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 etc.
• Proficient knowledge of Spanish and German.
• Environmental background.
• Business experience in international trade.
• Experience with Customer Relationship Management Tools.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
• Job Share: 100%.
• Position is based in the FLO-Cert Office in Bonn, Germany.
• Start as soon as possible.
• Salary is paid according to the Collective Bargaining Agreement Category (Tarifvertrag Gross- und Aussenhandel, Nordrhein-Westfalen), Salary Range VI plus an attractive benefits package.
• The office language is English.
• 30 days of holidays.
