Job title - Business Development Manager. based in South West

Salary: £26,003 - £35,000 per annum

BTCV successfully delivers Employment focused Contracts across the South West of England and Wales. 
We now need to increase our staffing level to include a dedicated Development Manager.

We have the following exciting opportunity:

Development Manager- Ref No: BDMSW

37 ½ hours per week

You will have the skills and experience to:

• Develop and secure new business opportunities in 
relation to the Governments Welfare to Work
Strategy including JCP mainstream provision,
European Funded Projects, SFA requirements and new
initiatives that are introduced to address barriers
to employment for target groups.

• Maintain a level of knowledge and understanding of
the latest customer requirements, design
specifications, service and delivery methods
required to meet the needs of Job Centre Plus,
employers and potential client groups.

• Research, plan, write and produce high quality 
tenders in response to the procurement needs of Job
Centre Plus, the Skills Funding Agency and other
funding bodies who purchase employment and training
services through competitive tendering.

• Provide generic tendering material that can be used
to support regional tendering activity including
the creation and maintenance of a library of
tenders, supporting information.

• Undertake post tender analysis and competitor
analysis to allow BTCV to meet customer needs,
develop knowledge of the market and improve our
services.

• Display a high degree of Knowledge of Government 
Funded Employment and Training Programmes.

Previous experience of Jobcentre Plus, ESF and SFA contracting and competitive tendering is essential.

A flexible, hardworking approach to work is necessary for this post.

A full driving licence is required.
