Description

My client is one of the fastest growing solar module manufacturers globally and have a very strong business plan and balance sheet, with distribution channels spanning across North America, Europe and Asia. As part of their expansion into the German PV market are looking to recruit a business development manager.

Core Criteria:
My client is looking to recruit a business development candidate with a focus on the growth of their solar PV module business, responsible for strategically managing the sales process including identifying, targeting and developing new business relationships in Germany.

Responsibilities:-

  • Launch  and market development of solar module products
  • Discuss different options and explain the benefits of solar modules
  • Negotiating terms and closing deals
  • ·         Provide market intelligence (industry trends, competitors, prices) to support Strategy Unit and Sales team in designated region in the form of reports
  • ·         Identify and initiate relationship with strategic clients
  • ·         Attend trade shows and conferences for intelligence collection
  • ·         Identify and prioritize new business prospects
  • ·         Manage support staff through leadership and collaboration
  • ·         Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations
  • ·         Develop and manage a pipeline that supports the company’s growth strategy in module sales
  • Analysing the clients needs and developing proposals to fit their criteria
  • Planning and organizing of projects/ products

Education:-

  • Must have strong educational background (MBA would be desirable)

Core Requirements:-

  • You will have at least 2-5 years of business development experience, with an excellent track record
  • Excellent knowledge of solar modules
  • Experience in selling modules to IPPs, integrators and developers
  • ·         Proficient with making impactful presentations
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Proven track record in solar business development and growth
  • ·         Good understanding of regulatory requirements in the solar industry

General Requirements:-

  • ·         Willingness to travel to sites around Germany
  • ·         Ability to analyze and solve complex problems and detecting realistic solutions
  • ·         Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects
  • ·         Ability to work under deadline pressure and deliver high quality results
  • ·         Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

Key Skills:

Solar PV, Excellent knowledge of solar modules, fluency in German (any other European language is an advantage), team leadership, business development and growth, Experience in selling modules to IPPs, integrators and developers.
