Description

My client is one of the largest global utility companies within the energy space who also develop, design and market both onshore and offshore wind farms. They are now looking for an experienced Business Development Manager based in Istanbul to help drive and mainstain their aggressive expansion throughout Europe.   

 

Position Overview:

My client is looking to recruit a Business Development Manager in order to grow the company’s influence in the rapidly expanding Turkish  market and generate new business opportunities. This position will require managing a whilst working closely with the European Director of Business Development.

 

 

Responsibilities:-

  •          Key contact of the company in order to develop strong relationships with new and existing contacts in the wind market.
  •          Ensure that my client is in the bid process for large scale wind farm developments across Turkey
  •          Develop and implement strategic plans, forecasts and performance goals to achieve corporate objectives for projects throughout Turkey
  •          Demonstrate ability to negotiate large scale contracts with a team of bid managers, sales managers and support staff.
  •          You will manage the development of initial relationships with developers, operators, manufacturers and investors of wind projects in order to achieve the end result of project development in the wind market
  •          Manage performance of sales team and representative organizations
  •          Ensure all deals meet revenue and margin expectations for the wind energy company and that your team is performing within the framework of the company
  •          Design strategic plans for global and strategic accounts in the market
  •          Team coordination at a national and international level

 

Education:-

A degree in either an engineering or business discipline is preferred

 

Core Requirements:-

  •          You must have 3+ years business development or sales experience in the wind market
  •          Proven ability to communicate across all levels of an organization and work closely with VP level managers in a large international company
  •          Ability to manage multiple large scale projects

  

General Requirement

  •          Ability to travel
  •          Ability to manage multiple projects in an environment of constantly changing priorities
  •          Ability to work independently but within tightly controlled business policies

 

Key Skills:-

On shore wind, renewable energy, negotiations experience, business development, sales of wind turbines/generators or large wind projects, exceptional team leadership skills, experience with complex contact negotiations and complex stakeholder and customer management experience
