You will be responsible for the following functions:

• Manage relationships with key clients and potential clients so as to optimise work won and profit generated
• Devising, implementing and maintaining a business development strategy
• Maintain and develop key customer relationships
• Lead, inspire and guide other staff in the disciplines of customer relationship management and especially business development
• Lead projects, where appropriate, at any stage of the contacting process, including initial customer canvassing, bid preparation and submission, presentation and, in appropriate cases, delivery of contracted work
• As a member of the senior management team, contribute to the overall effective and efficient management of Inbuilt.

You will possess the following competencies:

• Strong business development experience and delivery focus
• Have established network of contacts- be able to effectively network across a range of markets and sectors
• Be able to work to tight timeframes and programme manage others where necessary
• Significant track record of delivering growth through business development
• Ability to work under tight deadline pressure and prioritise multiple projects simultaneously
• Management skills- be able to manage small or large and complex projects
• Financial management – demonstrate understanding of project financial management
• Business planning- be able to prepare and deliver a business plan
• Entrepreneurial- be able to demonstrate strategic commercial thinking
• Proven track record- be able to demonstrate a range of projects managed / delivered

Desirable Competencies

• Feasibility and strategic appraisal- be able to establish from a wide range of renewables the most appropriate solutions
• Wider understanding of the low carbon agenda- be able to work with others to deliver genuine sustainable low energy buildings not just renewables
• Be aware of technical developments – show understanding of developments in clean tech and renewable energy field
• Degree or higher qualification
• Highly motivated - able to work alone and within teams
• Engaging personality – work as part of a team and with clients, be persuasive and engaging
• Ambitious – want to assume responsibility for projects and to be a part of growing new business
• Good communicator- be able to prepare accurate precise work (proposal, reports, presentations)
