You have learned and excelled at B2B sales in a direct account role over the last few years and are ready to apply your skills to a business development role. You’re ready to think critically, identify new opportunities, and then run a great process to drive them to close. You are excited about joining a company that is revolutionizing how American homeowners buy energy.

The Business Development Associate at SunRun works to develop new channels and distribution for our solar power service. Business developed by this role will be integral to sustaining the >2X annual sales growth realized by SunRun’s sales team. The position is full-time and based in our main office in downtown San Francisco.

Responsibilities

  • Source distribution relationships and respond to incoming opportunities
  • Track and report on your key activities in Sales Force
  • Some domestic travel to evaluate promising opportunities
  • Run the process to successfully and efficiently drive opportunities to close
  • Develop SunRun product and company expertise, along with strong knowledge of solar / energy industry

Requirements

  • Ready for a fast-paced, always-on, dynamic start-up environment
  • BA/BS and three years of related B2B sales or account experience
  • Top performer in a B2B sales role
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills are essential
  • Expert in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce.com
  • Roughly 25% travel time
  • Familiarity with a crisp, professional B2B sales process will be highly valued
  • Solar experience not necessary!
