Global Action Plan is a dynamic environmental charity working with a range of businesses and public sector organisations to help them reduce their carbon impact and become more sustainable. Our approach is to understand each organisation’s requirements, providing specialist advice and the practical know-how and support they need to improve.

Working closely with the Head of Investment as well as the rest of the team, your job will be to secure income for, develop and manage programmes for large businesses, public sector bodies and grant funders. Your programmes will support SMEs in the supply chains of these large businesses and public sector bodies to improve their environmental performance. The services to help SMEs improve include carbon tracking, supplier benchmarking, training and environmental management system implementation.

You will be charged with ensuring successful delivery of our secured programmes, including client management, leading project teams and hands on delivery. You will inspire confidence, maintain quality communications and ensure professional representation of GAP.

The successful candidate will have an excellent knowledge of procurement processes, supply chains and the drivers of small business strategy. You will preferably have experience of working in a consultancy and knowledge of both the private and public sectors. You will possess good business acumen as well as having extensive experience of managing client expectations and of delivering projects on target and to budget.

Your verbal and written communication skills will be excellent and you will be a collaborative team player with a flexible approach to work and a real interest in environmental issues.
