The Student Conservation Association (SCA), America’s #1 conservation service organization seeks a Business Applications Administrator in our IT department based out of our Charlestown, NH Office.

The Business Applications Administrator will provide day-to-day maintenance and support of SCA’s line of business information applications, while providing the highest levels of internal customer service and communication.

Primary Systems: All line of business applications with a focus on the current primary operations ERP system

Primary Customers: All SCA

Primary Responsibilities

  • Systems Operations and Support
    • Provide Tier I and Tier II Support for designated line of business applications, providing excellent service to users in:
      • Timely issue management troubleshooting and resolution
      • Answers to technical software and systems questions
    • Manage user security and access to the line of business applications as granted by managers; create, change and delete user accounts on request.
    • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all systems and key processes, reviewing application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
    • Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
    • Repair and recover from software failures. Coordinate and communicate with impacted constituencies.
    • Perform regular file archival and purge as directed.
  • Systems Analyst
    • Develop, update, and make available user systems documentation for technical support as well as for user knowledge and training.
    • Solicit, collate and communicate improvement and enhancement requests/needs to the Process Systems Manager.
    • Perform Quality Assurance testing for new releases, systems upgrades, and new system implementations.
    • Provide technical and change management support for major software upgrades and implementations.
    • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale.
  • Database Administrator
    • Manage data integrity and data quality in critical business systems.
    • Contribute to and maintain system standards and integrity.
    • Contribute to the systems collaboration process concentrating on data imports and exports.
    • Minor database design, development, and support
  • Relationship Builder and Team Player
    • Provide exceptional customer service to all internal and external constituents
    • Work closely with the Process Systems Managers, providing administrative and technical support
    • Develop and maintain a strong relationship with outside technical consultants
  • Systems Maintenance
    • Apply Application patches and upgrades on a regular basis. Configure / add new services as necessary.
    • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures documentation.
    • Perform periodic performance reporting to support capacity planning.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2 or more years of job-related experience or 5 or more years of relevant experience
  • Systems and process analysis experience
  • High technical support skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in database administration, SalesForce preferred
  • Experience with XML a plus
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration and management preferred
  • Microsoft Access client/server development a plus
  • Training and/or presentation skills a plus
  • High level of analytical and problem solving skills with a high attention to detail
  • Exceptional organizational skills
  • Work well in a team environment and individually
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to multi-task and be positive in fast paced ever changing environment a must
  • Excellent communication skills needed
  • Valid driver’s license and MVR that meets SCA standards required
  • Ability to meet SCA’s criminal background check standards
