Southern Solar Ltd is an expanding solar energy installation company. We provide a high quality, professional service with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Our main work is the installation of solar thermal and solar electric systems for domestic, public sector and commercial clients.
We presently have a vacancy for an electrical project manager to join our team in Bristol. We are looking for a positive and motivated individual with qualifications and experience in electrical installation and proven construction industry experience. The role will be to both install and manage PV installations it is envisaged that it will be approximately 60/40% Site/Office. The job offers plenty of opportunity for the right individual to grow in the role and create a successful career for themselves.
JOB DESCRIPTION
* Manage multiple projects from sale through to installation
* Ensure projects are installed in a timely and cost effective manner to a high standard.
* Be the primary point of contact for clients
* Provide technical input into electrical design
* Assist on commercial surveys, providing technical information to enable a sale
* Provide leadership to the install team to ensure a successful install.
* Ensure full Health and Safety compliance on your projects.
* Ensure all electrical work undertaken by the branch is safe and complies with regulations
* Manage the branches NICEIC registration
* Install both AC and DC aspects of solar electric (PV) systems
The successful candidate will ideally have skills and experience in the following areas:
EXPERIENCE
Essential
* At least 4 years practical experience of electrical works in commercial sites and domestic properties.
* Experience of managing several projects at one time.
* Knowledge of NICEIC or similar registration
Desirable
* Experience of installing solar electric systems
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
* City and Guilds 2381 and 2391 or similar electrical qualifications
* Excellent IT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
Desirable
* City and Guilds 2372 PV Training or similar
* Training in working at heights
* Training in the supervision of site health and safety
* Qualifications in 1st Aid

* A salary of £24,000- £28,000 depending on experience for a 45 hour week including breaks
