Description

Do you want to be at the cutting edge of innovation in parks?   If the answer is yes, then you may be just the person we are looking for, as we embark on an exciting journey alongside seven other ambitious projects across the UK funded by the Future Parks Accelerator programme (FPA).

This is a fixed term role for 21 months.

FPA is a new national strategic initiative from the National Trust, the National Lottery Heritage Fund and the Ministry for Housing, Communities and Local Government.  Together we will explore new ways to invest in our parks as we seek to unlock a spectrum of benefits for people today and generations to come.

You will be part of fast paced two-year programme working with a broad range of partners and stakeholders to produce a ‘Bristol Parks Prospectus’, designed to attract investment in parks from social enterprise and commercial partners and increase opportunities for community engagement and action.

We anticipate stimulating innovative health partnerships, joint ventures with environmental organisation and business interests where compatible with the character, role and use of a particular park or green space.

If you are enthusiastic about working collaboratively and expanding your horizons this could be a role just for you.  Your organisational, research and report writing skills, together with your ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders will be essential in taking on this new challenge.

Join us and you’ll receive a generous rewards package including flexible working and flexi-time, membership of the Local Government Pension scheme, and generous annual leave allowance. In addition, you’ll be working in a supportive environment where you’ll have the chance to make Bristol a better place and contribute to its future.

In addition, we are recruiting to this project a Programme Manager and Senior Project Officer.
