Garcia and Associates (GANDA) seeks to hire a full-time botanists in Hawai'i. Minimum qualifications include a B.S. degree in botany or a closely related field, and one to three years of professional botany experience in Hawai'i. Desirable skills include: demonstrated knowledge of local rare and sensitive plant species and their associated habitats, expertise with Garmin and Trimble GPS units, and experience with Microsoft Office. Successful applicant must possess competent technical writing skills, be able to travel, and be willing to work in remote locations. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated plant taxonomic skills with the flora of the Hawaiian Islands (Hawaiian native and sensitive plant experience). Wetland related experience also very helpful.
