Blade Design Engineer, South Korea

My client is a part of one of the worlds largest companies in the world. They have a market presence across a wide range of sectors and is a major player in the international market. They are developing new technology to rival their main competitors in the wind industry and are looking to ensure that they secure the best talent in order to achieve this.

Position Overview:

My client is currently looking for a blade design engineer to provide senior management in the design and development stage. You will report directly to the team leader in the company and manage the relationships between other engineering teams and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

•              Design and development of wind blades, managing the major decisions in regards to design or individual blades

•              Design blade length, diameter and guide engineers in the most effective and productive design for the turbine

•              Provide input into the design and implementation process of the turbine development

•              Perform due diligence advice and services when required as part of a particular project audits and present results to relevant managers

•              Consult on the aerodynamic design and structural analysis

•              Quality and certification assurance in regards to blade design

•              Work alongside other key engineers as part of a team in the development of blades for internationally utilised blades

Education:

Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree minimum

Core Requirements:-

•              12-18 years experience in the design of wind turbine blades

•             Experience working for a major manufacturer of wind turbine

•              A strong desire to work to the highest quality and standards in order to maintain the reputation of the company

•              Highly organised with a proven ability to project manage where necessary

General Requirement

•              Ability to travel for extended periods of time

•              Knowledge of related regulatory issues

•              Ideally the candidate would be a member of relative professional institutions

•              Strong desire to work on design projects
