My client is a leading thin-film solar PV cell and Module manufacturer and developer. They produce solar modules with a high degree of flexibility. The size of the module and the materials used to package the solar cells can be adjusted according to the customer’s application. Their ability to combine both, functionality and design is key mandatory for applications like solar components in Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV). They are now looking to recruit an experienced and skilled project manager with experience integrating PV into buildings.
Core Criteria:
My client is looking to recruit a senior project manager with a strong technical and background and experience integrating PV into buildings for the façade market.
Responsibilities:-
- · Supervise construction of integrating PV into buildings
- · Management of contractors performing construction activities and leading the company’s project execution as the lead on site representative
- · Liaise with relevant financial institutions
- · Realization of BIPV system solutions from an ideas stage to a final product
- · Implementation of the customer specific solution in cooperation with the architects and construction companies
- · Support of the certification process for the respective products and projects
- · Integrated planning and overall assessment including energy system balance and optimization
- Involved in day to day operation of multiple projects and crew management
- With the aid of technical assistants supervise all project development, financing, construction, and commercialization
- Manage and supervise all outsourced services and service providers such as legal, financial, and operational
- Coordinated purchasing, permitting, and inspections
- Manage PV site construction and design devolvement
Education:-
- · Must have strong engineering background (degree in the area of buildings or architecture or construction electrical engineering preferred )
Core Requirements:-
- At least 3-5 years relevant work experience in the solar industry with a proven track record in project management and an understanding of buildings facades
- Excellent problem solving skills with a track record of developing solutions for solar projects
- · Experience making day to day decisions at construction site
- · Experience as project manager from a construction company perspective preferably in the area of PV.
- · Solid know how regarding building regulations and norms
- · Project Management experience with respective certification (IPMA, PMI) would be a plus

Key Skills:-
