Brighton & Hove has a unique environment within and around the city, surrounded by the South Downs National Park and the sea.
Through the City Sustainability Partnership we are pursuing Biosphere Reserve designation that will increase recognition of the importance of the natural environment to our city and create an international reputation for a high quality of life. A Biosphere Reserve is a UNESCO designation for areas with a high quality natural environment where a balanced relationship exists between people and nature sustainable living is key.
This is a very exciting opportunity to transform the way we manage our environment in and around Brighton & Hove and how we balance the relationship between people and nature. The ideal candidate will be an excellent project manager who has led effective partnerships. You will be able to work independently and have excellent organisational skills. You will be passionate about the environment and be qualified to degree level in a relevant discipline.
