Audubon North Carolina seeks two biological technicians to implement ongoing research, monitoring, and management projects focused on American Oystercatcher and other shorebirds at sites in eastern North Carolina. Locations: Ocracoke or vicinity, Nags Head or vicinity.

Conduct regular shorebird surveys, focused on American Oystercatcher. Assess productivity of breeding American Oystercatchers and selected other species nesting on islands in eastern NC. Locate, mark and monitor nests of American Oystercatchers, and observe and document behaviors as part of ongoing productivity studies. Maintain detailed field notes, data sheets, and manage data. Analyze and summarize data in a final report.
