Ducks Unlimited’s Great Plains Regional Office seeks highly motivated research technicians to assist with data collection for an on-going assessment of the effects of wind energy development on breeding waterfowl and other waterbirds in the Prairie Pothole Region. We are currently hiring technicians to conduct surveys in wind projects in the Kulm and Sand Lake Wetland Management Districts in North and South Dakota. Field crews will be stationed in Kulm, North Dakota. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to gain experience with bird identification, data collection, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service bird survey methods while contributing information to a study with important implications for cooperative grassland conservation efforts in the Great Plains.
