You will also be contributing to the setting of strategy, developing funding proposals, and reporting to funders.

Main Duties

  • In the context of the CBD COP15 in Kunming, conducting a legal analysis of how the convention and particularly the post-2020 framework could be made more effective at conserving and restoring nature around the world.

  • Supporting our work in training environmental judges and prosecutors on biodiversity-related topics
  • Conducting research by collecting related research materials, drafting short reports, and policy briefs
  • Providing support to Chinese lawmakers and relevant researchers in the development of the ecological redlining regulation
  • Conducting research and developing and implementing actions which help to strengthen ecological risk mitigation in China's overseas investment and trade

  • Fluent Mandarin and English (CEFR level C2 in both)
