Conservation International (CI) is seeking an experienced Benefits Administrator to manage CI’s US employee benefits programs for an employee population of approximately 350 US-based staff within a global organization of nearly 1,000 staff.

The Administrator will ensure compliance with related laws and regulations for a full suite of health and welfare and retirement programs.  S/he will communicate with CI’s benefits vendors, conduct benefits audits, pay benefits bills, and manage the US fringe benefits budget.  The Administrator will also manage leave and disability claims, and coordinate the Health Claims Review Committee and the 403b Investment Committee.  S/he will ensure that CI’s benefit plans are communicated appropriately to all staff and that all plan documentation is updated and maintained.  While this position is focused primarily on US benefits, the Administrator will manage our expat health and welfare plan, our International Retirement Savings Plan, and our global medical evacuation program.

Working with HR leadership, the Administrator will conduct research and analysis on benefit plan options and design.  S/he will coordinate the annual open enrollment, and provide benefits-related support to HR Services on new hires and terminations.

This position requires excellent communications skills as well as the ability to analyze data and contracts.  The successful candidate will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and providing support to both the HR team and our global staff.  The Administrator will report to the Senior Director of Global Operations Management and will be an integral member of the twelve-person Global HR team.
