Bat Ecologist

Our client is an employee-owned, multi disciplinary consultancy with a diverse ecology team based in Cambridge. It is now looking for a Bat Ecologist to work in the water, power and highways industries. This role is to provide specialist support and advice to the ecology team in relation to bat ecology. You will be involved in phase one ecological assessments, protected species exclusions and translocation and other ecological and protected species surveys and assessments. You will also provide support to engineering and construction projects, assist with preparing and submitting NE licences and oversee mitigation measures.
To be considered for this role you will have a BSc in Ecology, Environmental Biology or equivalent and relevant field experience, with a strong track record of bat ecology. You will hold a NE bat licence and have experience undertaking extended phase 1 ecological assessments and ecological impact assessments. You will have a strong understanding of UK and EU legislation, membership of IEEM and a full clean driving licence.
