WEST-Inc. has a bat data analyst position available. This is a regular, full-time position intended to provide support for WEST's bat monitoring program by assisting in tracking progress of bat monitoring projects across the United States.  The successful candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to work in a team setting, and commitment to office-based duties.  This is not a field position.
 
Primary duties include:  Assist in inflow of QA/QC of bat survey data; assist with acoustic analysis of bat survey data; assist with report writing; assist with tracking inventory of bat detectors.
 
Secondary duties include:  Assist with avian reporting and other types of biological reports as needed; assist with avian and other wildlife surveys as needed (depending on candidate skills).
 
Required: Bachelor degree in biology, wildlife ecology or related natural resource science; strong organizational and computer skills; ability to track multiple projects simultaneously; the interpersonal skills to interact effectively with diverse personalities; and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. 
 
The successful candidate will also have experience deploying and using bat detection equipment, as well as an understanding of the methods for analyzing bat call data.
 
Pay is commensurate with experience and competitive in the field.
