Are you a student studying marine biology or environmental sceinces at University in Singapore? Do you want to help the worlds corals reefs, and the communities that rely on them, while earning some extra cash? Then why not become a Barefoot Conservation Ambassador!

Barefoot Conservation is a new and exciting, not-for-profit organisation that takes a fresh look at marine conversation and community awareness. All of the Barefoot staff share the same passion for making a real difference at a grass root level on all our projects.

Our focus is grass roots conservation and community action. Our aim is to engage, educate and empower the local community to make sustainable conservation a way of life, not just a project.

We are currently seeking "Barefoot Conservation Ambassadors living in Singapore"  

This position is perfect for university students and divers interested in networking and meeting new people to support marine conservation efforts. Your job will be to actively promote Barefoot Conservation expeditions around your local university and dive clubs, raise awareness of our core goals and seek out new volunteers. This could be done through social media, university groups, dive club presentations, flyers, etc. You will be the first point of contact for questions from potential volunteers. Where possible, you will liaise with the relevant people to highlight Barefoot Conservation’s work.

 

Necessary Skills

Great communication and organisational abilities

Any Sales/PR/marketing experience

Commitment to conservation

Cheerful and positive with a sense of humour

 

Desired Experience:

Knowledge of conservation, travel, environmental issues and the GAP year market

Sales, SCUDA diving, marine conservation or NGO work

Travel in Indonesia

 

Salary will be based on a generous commission, with a bonus 4 week FREE expedition to Raja Ampat for reaching targets.
