TITLE

Auditor Palestine/Middle East (m/f)

 

FUNCTION

• Conduct FLO-CERT Fairtrade audits  

 

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

• To carry out FLO-CERT Fairtrade audits against Fairtrade Standards for various products in Palestine and if needed in other Middle East Countries

 

TASKS

• Audits in Palestine (and other Middle East countries if needed)

• Audits of small producers organizations, processors and exporters in the specified countries

• Scheduling of audits as requested by FLO-CERT

• Completion of audit reports, including identification of all relevant non-conformities in a clear and complete form

 

 

REPORTING TO

Certification Analyst in Bonn

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Necessary:

•  University level education (or equivalent) in a relevant subject (Economics, Agriculture, Accounting, Food Science, Agronomy, etc.).

• At least 2 years experience in auditing (e.g. Fairtrade, organic, ISO 9001:2000, SA8000, ISO 14001, financial audits)

• At minimum 2 years work experience in Palestine and/or other countries in Middle East

• Fluent in English, Arabic both oral and written

• Strong commercial skills

• Excellent communication skills

• Ability to work independently

• Ability to be assertive, unbiased and impartial

 

Advantageous

• Business experience

• Experience in working with small producer organizations, processors and exporters

• Technical knowledge of the products: olives, olive oil, fresh fruits, vegetables

• Knowledge of one or more of the following certification schemes: Fairtrade, Organic, ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, Euregap

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

• Job share: Freelance

• Place of work: Flexible, preferably in the region of the countries to be audited

• Communication language: English and Arabic

• Payment: According to the auditors fee agreement

• Starting date: As soon as possible

• Training will be provided by FLO-CERT
