EED Project Submittal Forms are a key part of the process by which a building project team submits evidence of compliance with the LEED Green Building Rating System, thereby enabling the project to be reviewed for LEED Certification, a major driver of adoption of green building practices by the building industry. USGBC is seeking an individual with strong logic and organizational skills to serve as a member of the LEED Forms team and work closely with other members of the LEED Department and IT in the creation of clear, easy-to-use, and high-quality PDF forms.

The LEED Forms Associate is a junior-level position that will have an integral role in developing and maintaining data entry forms for all prerequisites and credits for new LEED rating systems and programs, supporting the launch of new LEED programs, providing ongoing general technical support for existing LEED programs, and otherwise ensuring a positive experience for project teams implementing LEED.

The ideal candidate will have an understanding of, or interest in, form design and usability, a strong sense of personal responsibility and accountability for delivering high quality work, meticulous attention to detail, and strong initiative when identifying, troubleshooting and resolving issues.

Specific Responsibilities Include

  • Work with team members to ensure all required LEED certification submittal requirements protect LEED program integrity and minimize customer and reviewer error and burden by being clear, specific, consistent, thorough, and targeted
  • Translate LEED certification submittal requirements into effective form design and refine deliverables through an iterative approach
  • Create design documents and style guides to effectively communicate style, content and functionality requirements to developers
  • Work with team members, IT and Technology to innovate and find creative, elegant, customer-centric solutions, implementable within technology design constraints
  • Proactively identify, troubleshoot and work with IT and Technology to resolve technical issues
  • Ensure all LEED data entry forms and certification templates reflect all submittal requirements, meet prescribed style and format requirements, and are clear, functional, easy to use, and free of errors
  • Facilitate the planning, design, prioritization and implementation of new content and features for data entry forms and certification templates in coordination with new LEED program roll-outs and as stand-alone initiatives
  • Work with team members, IT and Technology to administer the maintenance and ongoing improvement of live versions of LEED-Online v2 and v3 from a business perspective
  • Create and maintain internal and customer-facing tools to assist in tracking and coordinating features and changes across rating systems
  • Adhere to timelines, establish milestones with the project manager, and report progress for the team through the use of dashboards on a regular basis
  • Provide administrative support for implementation, training, and project close out activities
