Introduction

We are currently seeking an experienced Associate Director to help us manage and grow our team. As part of your role you will take responsibility for delivering successful bids for medium to large projects tendered under the WEM framework.

The Job

Location
East Grinstead; London; Basingstoke; Peterborough

You will also take responsibility for successfully project -manage and/or project-direct projects for the Environment Agency and other clients across England and Wales.
Your role will include managing clients, teams and the technical delivery as well as taking responsibility for the delivery of the project to cost, quality and programme whilst maintaining overall commercial responsibility.

In addition to the above, you would be expected to be able to demonstrate excellence in some of the following technical areas:
- Hydraulic analysis
- Coastal processes and technical solutions
- Economic analysis, including cost/benefit analysis; Outcome Measure; damages etc
- Public and stakeholder engagement
- Design of flood defences
- Water Framework Directive
- ECC Project Manager experience
- Mechanical and Electrical design of hydraulic gates operating equipment

As part of your role you will lead on specific technical aspects of projects from feasibility to detailed design and will support and provide advice to more junior members of the team.
Qualifications
As the successful candidate, you will hold a BEng/MEng in a related Engineering field with significant experience in civil or hydraulic engineering. Candidates with Mechanical and Electrical background will also be considered. You will be chartered with the relevant institution. You will also have experience of working directly for the Environment Agency and be able to demonstrate knowledge of their processes and systems. You will be required to drive on behalf of the company to visit clients/sites etc and therefore a valid UK driving licence is essential.
