Develops and implements strategies for the cultivation and solicitation of a portfolio of 75 - 100 major gift prospects, including corporate, foundation, institutions, and/or individual donors in the Miami, Florida geography. Availability to manage donors or support staff managing major donors in other in other states in the US. Has excellent capacity to broaden the network of influence of donors in Latin America and the US. Works closely with development team and Director of Conservation Programs in Latin America to determine effective strategies and follow up for identified donors and prospects.
Discusses assets proficiently and listens for opportunities for gifts of assets or other non-cash gifts, such as planned gifts and trade lands. Provides opportunity for donors to receive recognition and increase future giving opportunity. Understands and complies with all TNC gift-related policies and procedures.
Involves and engages appropriate partners in the field and staff at the Worldwide Office, keeping them apprised of interactions, issues or concerns. Understands and complies with all TNC gift-related policies and procedures and ensures ethical compliance, as defined by the Association for Fundraising Professionals.
Manages donors with a capability of $100,000 over three years and/or principal gifts and institutional gifts. Probably located in a market leader state and responsible for an individual fundraising target of $4 million annually to be built out over a period of approximately three years. May supervise other staff in future.
