Assistant or Graduate Aquatic Ecologist
Location – Sheffield
Salary £15,000 to £22000 depending on experience

Ecus have been trading for over 25 years and have a reputation for excellence and client care second to none in the industry.  We are looking to recruit a highly enthusiastic graduate or assistant aquatic ecologist to work in our Aquatic Ecology team.  

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of macroinvertebrate survey, identification and analysis in a range of freshwater habitats, with experience of identification to family level required for the graduate role or species level analysis + at least one years experience for the assistant role. 

Additional aquatic ecology skills would be highly desirable and we will be keen to consider candidates with experience of phytoplankton and/or diatom analysis, macrophyte survey, river habitat survey (RHS) or fisheries science.

On a personal level, the successful candidate will be an enthusiastic ecologist, well motivated with good communication skills and the ability to fit into a lively and ambitious team. You will have a sound understanding of working to project deadlines and the ability to manage and prioritise shifting work loads. You must be willing to work antisocial hours and away from base where required, with such commitment recognised and recompensed by Ecus’ flexible approach to working and commitment to staff development as recognised by our Investors in People status.
