Based at Tyland Barn, Maidstone
The Job: To work with the Water for Wildlife Officer to deliver a range of practical habitat and species based projects across the county. The Assistant Water for Wildlife Officer post will work alongside the Water for Wildlife Officer and other Trust colleagues to oversee the implementation of a number of habitat improvement projects across Kent. This will be achieved by focussing this activity within identified target areas where large-scale habitat restoration can be achieved.
You: will have a sound understanding of wetland ecology and conservation, and of the key factors affecting wetland biodiversity and have at least two years’ experience of working in nature conservation. You will possess excellent interpersonal skills, and have a proven record of engaging individuals and organisations in nature conservation work. You will be able to demonstrable project management skills, with experience of project delivery, be a team player and display good presentational and negotiating skills.
