A Wildlife Conservation Centre inUnited Arab Emirates is urgently seeking persons for the following positions for vaccination of wild animals.
1. Job Title: Assistant Veterinarian: Position- 1
Job Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of immunization program in wild animals
- Conduct physical examination in animals, collect samples and supervise vaccination program
- Attend emergency medication and treatment of injured and diseased animals during vaccination.
- Conducts local, general anesthesia and immobilization of wild animals
- Prepares and maintains medical and vaccination records
- Coordinate and consult with other veterinarians and vaccination team
- Other works assigned by Head of Veterinary Division
Qualification and Experiences:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent veterinary degree from recognized
University
- Minimum 5 years work experience in preventive medication in wildlife / zoo collection
- Ability to work in UAE environment
- Good command in English and computer skills
2. Veterinary Field Technician: position-3
Job Responsibilities:
- Collection of blood, tissue, secretion samples during vaccination
- Vaccination and preventive medication
- Assist veterinarian in the treatment of injured and diseased animals
- Microchip implant, ear-tagging, hoof trimming etc.
- Knowledge in vaccines and biological handling and storage
- Keeping vaccination and treatment record and reporting.
Qualification and Experiences:
- Minimum 2 years Diploma in Veterinary Technician.
- 5 years working experience in wildlife veterinary hospital/ zoo.
- Good command in English and computer skills.
3. Veterinary Field Assistant: Position-3
Job Responsibilities:
- Vaccination of wild animals
- Hoof and horn trimming, wound dressing
- Helps veterinarian and Technicians in treatment
- Knowledge in vaccines and biological handling and storage
Qualification and Experiences:
- High school / A-level certificate in science.
- 1 year training from veterinary institute/ veterinary training centre
- 3 years work experience in veterinary hospital / zoo
