About the role…

We are searching for an Assistant Tree and Countryside Officer to assess the contributions and value of trees, hedges and landscaping within their local and wider contexts. To safeguard, promote and champion the value of trees and countryside assets in development and the wider district.

Working in our Sustainability Team, in the planning department, your primary role will be to provide tree and landscape advice to development management, forward plans and property services. With its picturesque woodlands, outdoor activities with landscapes to explore, you will have this right on your doorstep. With our agile working ethos; you will be spoilt for choice.

You will need…

  • Degree or equivalent in relevant subject
  • Experience of working in a public facing role
  • Good knowledge and understanding of tree legislation, tree landscape strategies and woodland management
  • Effective communication skills with a wide range of customers and others (excellent verbal and written skills)
  • Full UK Driving Licence
