Description

The Bermuda Institute of Ocean Sciences is seeking to fill a faculty position in the area of marine ecosystem modeling. Applicants with experience in developing open ocean models to work with the Bermuda Atlantic Time-series Study researchers are encouraged to apply, as well as those with in an interest in modeling coastal/coral reef communities. Starting date will be negotiated with the successful applicant, and hiring will be at the Assistant Scientist level.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree in the oceanographic or related sciences. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong track record or potential for outstanding accomplishments in research, research supervision, and teaching. Course offerings in the larger BIOS education program may include contributions to the POGO Centre of Excellence in Observational Oceanography commensurate with the candidate's interest and expertise.
