Assistant Programme Officer (AD847)Salary depending on skills and experienceWe are looking for a highly motivated and technically competent Assistant Programme Officer to work in our Science team to provide GIS mapping and administration support to a range of projects. GIS is a cornerstone of our work at WCMC and this area of expertise is used to support all Programmes across the Centre.This role will focus on GIS mapping to support the work of projects within Science and other Programmes in WCMC. There is also an important element of supporting the Science programme in the delivery of some key administrative tasks and reporting needs. Supporting our Head of Science, you will work closely with other colleagues in the Centre on contracted projects covering a variety of topics. Using your technical skills you will deliver, on time and to a high standard, products that will assist the delivery of projects across the work of UNEP-WCMC. We will provide you with the challenge of working on numerous projects and developing your skills technically and in terms of project administration. You will build your skills in GIS and other novel tools and approaches to address specific questions. There may be prospects of attendance at relevant conferences and workshops both in the UK and internationally.
