Assistant Programme Manager, Scottish Renewables

Circa £23,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits

We have an opportunity for an Assistant Programme Manager, Scottish Renewables in our Scotland team. The primary focus of this role is to deliver the Energy Saving Scotland home renewables grant scheme and the home renewables advice service.

The main responsibilities of the role will be to:

  • Develop and manage procedures and systems for the Energy Saving Scotland home renewables advice service and grant scheme;
  • Act as the primary contact point for Energy Saving Scotland advice centre (ESSac) staff working on renewables grants, advice customers, installers, and other stakeholders in the small scale renewables market;
  • Maintain and develop contacts with a wide variety of Scottish energy efficiency and renewables stakeholders and keep up to date on developments in renewables and energy efficiency technologies and policies;
  • Liaise with internal EST teams and relevant external contractors to ensure smooth running of programme administration.

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Very good knowledge of domestic energy efficiency and renewables issues, particularly microgeneration;
  • Knowledge of Scottish public and Non-Government Organisation (NGO) sectors;
  • Good project management skills;
  • Good administrative skills;
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing;
  • Excellent customer service skills;
  • The ability to work in complex teams;
  • A proactive, 'can do' attitude with the ability to work on own initiative;
  • The ability to prioritise tasks within a demanding environment;
  • A results orientated approach with the ability to work to deadlines.
