Guiding the way in Renewable Energy

Ofgem has important duties relating to the environment and sustainable development. We administer a number of government schemes to promote the generation of electricity from renewable sources. These roles, in our Renewables Team, will ensure that these schemes are administered effectively and efficiently.

Assistant Manager - Biomass, Co-firing and Waste
£25,000 - £28,000 per annum
London SW1

You will assess and make recommendations on the acceptability of generators' fuel measurement proposals and perform complex biomass calculations for the issue of Renewable Obligation Certificates and Levy Exemption Certificates. You will also provide advice on biomass eligibility and assist with ad-hoc projects.

Key requirements
* two A levels or equivalent professional qualification(s)
* excellent analytical and organisational skills
* highly numerate and IT literate with expert use of spreadsheets
* dedicated to good customer service
* an interest in environmental issues desirable
