Job Title: Assistant Environmental Manager
Location: London

Deloitte LLP, a leading professional services firm, is expanding its environmental team and a vacancy has arisen for the position of Assistant Environmental Manager to lead on our environmental compliance and reporting. The successful candidate will report to the Environmental Manager, within the Internal Client Services Division, to deliver environmental excellence throughout our business.
 
Responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
·         Oversight of the ISO 14001: Environmental Management System:
   Monitor and advise on responses to changes to environmental legislation
   Assess and communicate the impact of changes to the EMS to all stakeholders
   Undertake audits of the environmental performance of our sites
   Manage our internal environmental processes to ensure we remain compliant
·         Manage the roll out and maintenance of the ISO 14001 EMS  to our Switzerland offices.
·         Organise the data collection, validation and reporting on operational energy, water, waste, transport and carbon emissions across our estate against KPIs.
·         Lead our data collection and reporting for the Carbon Reduction Commitment.
·         Work with subject experts throughout the business and externally to develop and implement environmental improvement strategies, plus monitor and report on their performance.
·         Report on the status of our environmental agenda both within the business, through roadshows, posters and intranet publications; and to external stakeholders, such as Business in the Community and the Carbon Disclosure Project.
·         Provide ongoing support to internal and external stakeholders on environmental issues.
·         Proactively support the Environment Manager in the identification, definition and implementation of strategies and solutions to deliver best-practice and innovative environmental sustainability management with particular focus on energy and water reduction, building operations, resource efficiency and sustainable transport.
 
 
This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate of the highest calibre. The successful candidate will have:
·          Attained a postgraduate degree in an environmental discipline.
·          Hold a professional environmental accreditation, such as IEMA or CIWEM.
·          Have at least 4 years' relevant experience.
However, these criteria will not limit our consideration of other exceptional candidates.
 
Candidates will also be expected to have and be able to demonstrate:
·         An excellent knowledge of sustainability and environmental issues and a good understanding of relevant technologies and solutions.
·         Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and deliver multiple projects whilst maintaining a high quality of work.
·         A flexible and customer orientated approach, able to work as part of a small team.
·         Strong analytical and data presentation skills (including advanced use of Excel).
·         Strong  written and verbal communication and presentation skills, and
·         Enthusiasm and commitment to the environmental agenda.
