Assistant Ecologist

Summary of Position:
The Assistant Ecologist works closely with Albany Pine Bush science staff to plan, implement, and
synthesize monitoring projects focused on 1) demography and habitat requirements of the endangered
Karner blue butterfly, 2) population and community ecology of regionally declining shrubland birds, 3)
restoration assessments for globally rare inland pine barrens vegetation communities. The position will be
60–80% fieldwork and 20–40% indoor?s.
