1.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Overall responsibility and management of the administrative and financial functions of the Organization under the general direction of the Executive Director, and specific duties, among other, include the following areas of work and activities:
•Financial management and control;
•Management of contract services and procurement;
•Project and pre-project agreements with implementing agencies;
•Arrangements for Council and Committee Sessions and other ITTO meetings;
•Secretariat responsible for the work and meetings of the Committee on Finance and Administration;
•Publication, documentation, translation and interpretation services, and dissemination of information;
•Public relations to promote the Organization;
•Library facilities;
•Other duties and assignments by the Executive Director as necessary.
2.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
•Be a national of an ITTO Member Country*;
•Suitable university degree preferably with post-graduate qualification;
•More than fifteen years of relevant professional experience;
•Language skills in both spoken and written English. Knowledge of French and/or Spanish advantageous;
•Proven ability to work with people from varying cultural backgrounds.
3.QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE - DESIRABLE
•Adequate working experience in an International Organization demonstrating skills as an organizer and coordinator;
•Knowledge of United Nations Organization management rules and regulations;
•Adequate knowledge and working experience in human resources and financial management and control;
•Sense and ability for proactive management;
•Knowledge concerning development issues in tropical countries would be an advantage;
•Experience in computer and network management.
4.SALARY
ITTO offers salaries and allowances based generally on the United Nations system. Appointments are subject to the Staff Regulations and Rules of the Organization
