Assistant Development Manager, Renewables

Circa £25,000 depending on experience + excellent benefits

London, 12 months fixed term

The purpose of this post is to undertake an active role in the development of new programmes and ensure the successful delivery of a range of existing programmes.

The main responsibilities for this post include:

  • Management of all programme documentation (including contracts, tendering documents, financial records);
  • Day-to-day management of relationship with contractors employed by EST to undertake various projects;
  • Assisting the Development Manager in working with other EST teams;
  • Effective engagement with relevant trade bodies and stakeholder groups;
  • Assisting the Development Managers in tendering for and developing new programmes;
  • Collating and monitoring monthly and quarterly performance data from all internal and external sources. This will be used to produce monthly and quarterly reports and monitor progress against targets;
  • Deputising for the Development Manager at times of unavailability.

To be successful in this post, you will have:

  • Experience of working in the renewable energy or related sustainability field;
  • Experience of delivering projects, producing reports, and delivering on time and to budget;
  • A good technical understanding of domestic energy use and the wide range of sustainable energy measures available for the domestic sector;
  • Excellent inter-personal, negotiation and communication skills for working within and across teams, working with contractors, high profile partners and senior managers;
  • The ability to work effectively, on your own and as part of a team, often to tight deadlines;
  • Excellent organisational, prioritisation and administration skills.
