An exciting opportunity currently exists in our growing Hong Kong office which undertakes projects throughout Asia Pacific.

ERM HONG KONG seeks an exceptional individual to join as an Assistant Consultant in our Marine Sciences team in Hong Kong. The role will be specifically to assist with hydrodynamic and water quality modeling Projects in Hong Kong and throughout the Asia Pacific region.

THE CANDIDATE:

Ideal candidates will be enthusiastic and energetic; they will be persuasive communicators (both verbal and written) who are comfortable in dealing with management and operators at all levels.  Your primary task will be to deliver projects that apply modelling techniques to simulate development project impacts to coastal water bodies, open ocean and inland environments. Candidates with other expertise of oceanography (physical, dynamical) and / or marine science are welcomed.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Candidates should have a postgraduate qualification in Environmental or Coastal Engineering, Marine Science, or Oceanography;
  • Experience of marine modelling of hydrodynamics and water quality parameters in DELFT 3D is essential;
  • Experience in environmental consultancy would be an advantage;
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team is essential;
  • Excellent report writing skills.  Fluency in both written and spoken English is a fundamental requirement.
  • Those with relevant experiences and qualifications will be considered for the post of Senior Consultants.
