We have an exciting opportunity at The Naze Visitor Centre for an Assistant Centre Manager to work Part Time assisting with the day to day running of our busy Visitor Centre!

Essex Wildlife Trust is the county’s leading conservation charity. It has more than 37,000 members, manages and protects over 8,400 acres of land on 87 nature reserves and 2 nature parks and runs 11 visitor centres. The aim of Essex Wildlife Trust is to Protect Wildlife for the Future and for the People of Essex. It is supported financially by members, local businesses and grant making organisations. It is one of the largest of the 46 county wildlife trusts that work together throughout the British Isles as The Wildlife Trusts.

We have an exciting opportunity at The Naze Visitor Centre for an Assistant Centre Manager.

The successful applicant will work 30 hours (4 days) per week across 7 days (including alternate weekends) between the hours of 8am-6pm, with some occasional late evenings.

Responsibilities include:
- Providing a warm welcome for our centre visitors.
- Assisting the Site Manager with the day to day running of a busy centre including supporting and managing a team of volunteers.
- Helping to organise and run an engaging and fun programme of events
- Ensuring a high quality and profitable retail offer is available at all times
- Supporting a high-quality catering offer, to maximise the customer experience.
- Stepping into a duty manager role in the absence of a Site Manager (days off and holidays)
- A hands on, positive approach is required of you in this role.
