REV-ACTive is a three year, £3m project and is part of the wider REV Programme, a series of initiatives promoting low carbon economic growth along the A11 corridor between Thetford & Norwich. The project will help businesses save money by improving their energy efficiency and reducing their carbon emission levels. The REV-ACTive project is at the cutting edge of new business support and resource efficiency initiatives and will have a regional profile and impact.

You will be working as part of a vibrant team providing advice and guidance to businesses on their environmental and waste issues as part of the European funded REV Active project, of which Norfolk County Council is a partner. These roles are an ideal development opportunity for anyone wishing to further their career in the environmental sector.

We are seeking the following:

Assistant Advisor PTP10/278

Environment and Waste, County Hall, Norwich
£22,221 - £23,708 per annum
Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2013

You will have experience of providing environmental advice to businesses, a good working knowledge of environmental legislation and climate change issues, as well as its application in business activities.

Support Assistant PTP10/279

Environment and Waste, County Hall, Norwich
£15,725 - £16,830 per annum
Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2013

You will have an understanding of current and emerging legislation affecting environment and waste management and climate change. You must also have very good organisational skills including the ability to work to tight time schedules, as well as developed oral and written skills.
