Asset Management Firm: Carbon Offset Originator

An Asset Management Company is seeking a CDM originator who can find and deliver Carbon credit producing contracts for the company to invest in.

This role epitomizes the future of the carbon offset sector; originators will not be solely targeting regional CDM opportunities but targeting new sectors including private corporations and carbon reduction on a global scale.

The candidate will be senior, with 6 years experience within origination. Technical knowledge of CDM/ Carbon offset projects is an essential aspect of your repertoire, and knowledge/experience within sustainability and carbon reduction strategy will be considered in a positive light.

Originators will act as a service provider for clients, marketing and creating the project strategy for the Asset Management firm to invest in.

Candidate Profile-

• Good demonstrable commercial experience with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Solid understanding of the Kyoto and its related processes with UNFCCC.
• Experience within a variety of Carbon projects
• Good level of industry contacts including DOE, DNA, registries.
• Strong Communication skills, including presentation
• Fluent in English; fluency in at least one other language a plus.
