Description

The post holder will provide full PA support to the Regional Director Asia, including diary management and planning, making travel arrangements and bookings for frequent overseas visits, managing correspondence and other day-to-day operations; in addition, this newly created post will also play a lead role in providing executive and logistical support to the Asia team and Communications team. This will involve organising all aspects of in-person meetings, attending relevant in-person meetings with RDA and ensuring accurate and timely minutes are taken. The post holder will become aware of the latest thinking, issues and priorities facing the organisation and will play a key role in ensuring all actions are followed through. This will require interaction with individual Board members, the MSC's senior management team and broad range of stakeholders from around the world.

This unique position will place the post holder at the heart of these teams and provides an exciting opportunity for a professional and experienced PA and administrator to make a significant contribution in enabling the MSC to deliver its mission.

With its ‘check fish’, one of the most successful ecolabels in use today, the MSC has established itself on the word stage, and in little more than 10 years has achieved a truly global presence, affecting positive, ecological change in oceans providing certified sustainable seafood in more than 80 countries, across all five continents. Having recently appointed a Director for Asia, MSC is now looking to find a suitably qualified Personal Assistant to support the expanding team.

Skills Required

  • A proven and demonstrable track record with prior experience at a senior PA level essential
  • Excellent organisational skills are essential, as is an ability to forward plan with meticulous attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (English and Mandarin - both written and spoken). 
  • Evidence of ability to manage relationships both internally and externally and at all levels e.g. with colleagues, stakeholders and Board members
  • High level of proficiency with IT, in particular using Microsoft Office applications, Adobe acrobat; an advanced knowledge of Outlook is essential
  • High level of expertise in database and mailing list management
  • Experience managing an office and/or dealing with contractors to ensure smooth running of office environment
