Asia Regional Communications Manager

Reporting to the Asia Director, the Regional Communication Manager (CM) is responsible for leading the development and implementation of communications and marketing strategies for MSC in Asia. Utilising his/her creative and organisational skills, the post holder contributes to a diverse range of activities to promote the MSC’s mission and ensure successful delivery of the communications strategy. Responsible for growing the MSC’s media work, social media presence and events management in the Asia, he/she is a regular point of contact for members of journalists. The post holder will ensure the communications activities within the foodservice and retail sector are implemented effectively including supporting the development of education and communication materials and disseminating news on project progress.

The CM is responsible for ensuring that all MSC Asia communications are targeted to meet audience needs, are produced to a high standard, and represent the MSC accurately and persuasively. The post holder works in close co-operation with MSC’s Corporate Communications team based in London and communications staff in other regional offices.

Skills Required

• High standard of spoken and written English and Mandarin

• Excellent verbal communication skills, especially the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and simply.
• Experience in a similar or transferable role 
• Experience of writing, editing and proofreading articles and publications
• Good computer literacy, including proficiency in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel. Good knowledge of Photoshop desirable.
