We are looking for an Areas and Governance Administrator, based at the friendly Ramblers Scotland office in Edinburgh.  This role focuses specifically on providing support to our volunteers, members, groups and areas. The role is split between ensure that the Ramblers Scotland office is organised and runs smoothly, and in working directly with our area structure, which is the way our local groups are organised and can access support, funding and advice. In addition, the role will focus on the smooth running and organisation of the constitutional processes that are key to our annual Scottish Council event. This role is part of the Ramblers Scotland Team.

Essential Requirements include:

  • Efficiently organise the constitutional aspects of the Scottish Council, ensuring that members are notified of all deadlines in a timely manner and that the event runs smoothly on the day.
  • Engage in the wider planning around Scottish Council, ensuring that the event is well run and that members leave feeling inspired and engaged.
  • Work effectively with our area structure, listening to their needs and responding appropriately.
  • Facilitate the smooth running of the Ramblers Scotland office, responding to queries and day-to-day issues in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate that you understand and support the Ramblers’ core values.
